If you have a guitar case or any music instrument case with odors such as strong music case odor, smoky case smell or musty case or the instrument has given it a smell and you tried airing the guitar case out and you are now searching on line as to how to get that guitar case odor smell out of it? There is an easy fix. Use a Fridge It odor absorber. It is made of activated charcoal, non toxic and is fragrance free. Also works on other music instrument’s like trombone case needing a freshener.
Place the odor absorber inside the case and close it up for 24 to 48 hours. It will absorb the odors inside the case. If the odor is the outside of the case. Place the case in a large garbage bag with the odor absorber(s) and seal the bag. That will absorb the outside case odors.
It will not work for guitar cases that are water damages or wet. The case need to be dry when you attempt to use the odor absorber. Fridge It is the same product that absorbs odors from inside refrigerators and freezers. The activated carbon can absorb and trap the odors in any enclosed space with airflow, just like it does a fridge. It also works great for pet, closet, car or room odors. Thanks for the tip. I have a couple of vintage cases I picked up at a garage sale. They look good but they smell like the garage!
